Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Game Recaps:
Write engaging and detailed blog posts summarizing high school games, including key moments, player highlights, and scores.
Conduct post-game interviews with players and coaches (as needed) to enrich blog content.
Radio Script Writing:
Assist in drafting and organizing scripts for live radio broadcasts and pre-recorded segments.
Collaborate with on-air talent to ensure scripts are engaging, informative, and fit the station's tone.
Content Research:
Stay updated on local high school sports teams, schedules, and standings.
Fact-check and verify all information to ensure accuracy in blogs and scripts.
Collaboration:
Work closely with broadcasters, producers, and social media teams to align content across platforms.
Participate in editorial meetings to pitch story ideas and recap plans.
SEO Optimization:
Incorporate SEO best practices into blog posts to drive traffic to the station’s website.
